Actually, it would be a waste of valuable developer time imho...
We already have everything at our disposal -we can map anywhere we want immediately, we can reallocate our attribute points on the fly for free...
The fact that we even CAN change our secondaries is amazing, coming from a longtime MMORG player.
I think you are asking too much.
Also, I think things like that take something away from the game. This game already lacks immersion enough.

Aye, that is only your opinion, however.

Not quite. Unless you are refering to PvP-only characters. We still have to work to get those "everything".

Wonderful feature aye? I love this fast travel thingie.

Yup, I love this too. I'm very happy that the refund points system was abolished.

I find this quite amazing myself when I first discovered this fact.

Guild Wars is not your standard MMORPG I would say.

that was abit nasty dontcha think?
I think its funny that as soon as someone voices a dissenting opinion you literally jump all over it and parse it to pieces.
I'm entitled to an opinion. And I think this game community would be alot better if everyone respected everyone else.
and this isn't a vote, if you'd like real numbers open up a poll.
cheers.

Well for one thing, he said "/not signed" and you began to argue with him. Let's argue with everyone who said /signed as well, hey?
Frankly I understand his position. Guild Wars does lack immersion and a lot of the roleplaying aspect you typically get in "roleplaying" games. Things like the huge amount of class flexibility we have, proffesion changing, slot-machine drops, and even map travel, take away from the sense that this is an adventure and add to the sense that this is a hack n' slash. Still, I think it's silly to pretend Guild Wars is anything but a hack n' slash, albeit a well balanced one with a meaningful combat system. The game is riding on its combat system and little else. That's why I originally /signed for option 1 in one of the threads you linked. Because this just isn't the game some of us wish we were playing, and there's little point in pretending.
Though, I am addicted, so... meh.

You are, and you already voiced your opinion when you posted in this thread.Erm I don't understand this, when people write /signed in their posts, it means that they agree with this idea. Why it isn't a vote?

There is a poll on the thread that I started, the numbers are real, I do not understand why you keep saying that.

But I'm doing it politely! Well, I think. I have spent much time finding the reference threads, collecting the votes and formating this thread, I do believe I have the right to "defend" this thread, aye.

I don't wanna do that! They agree with me!
Aye, Guild Wars is not our "standard RPG", that is the best way to describe it, methinks.
Anyway, I am just presenting the facts that I found in GwG.
The fact is that there are 100 people who agrees to that there should be a profession changer in the guild hall.
Cheers.

Being able to do it in the hero window would be a godsend for pve and pvp.

Yes on first (was just gonna suggest it myself ), partly yes on second. I want it only to be available for PvP chars.

Bah, shouldn't it be enough to be Ascended if you're from Tyria? If you're from Cantha I think you should've become Weh No Su. Cause I was lvl 14 after ascending my monk, and I could change profession after that, so why shouldn't one be able to in guild-hall (assuming you've unlocked the profession for that char)?

Can we keep all the votes and signatures in this thread instead?
The results of the poll is originally posted on page 3.
Post No. 46
Reference threads:
06-05-2006 | Death3D | Guild Hall Additions!
04-29-2006 | =HT=Ingram |Profession Changer NPC Options
04-29-2006 | Trance Addict | Something that wouldn't be completely useless in a Guild Hall.
05-10-2006 | Lord Pharoah | Am I the only person who wants a profession changer in the guild hall?
05-25-2006 | deluxe | Profession Changer in Guildhall
01-30-2006 | Kai Nui | Final Straw On Secondary
After going through all those threads, I concluded that, we have 2 options:
1. Add Secondary Profession Changer in Guild Hall
- Gold must be spent to acquire this NPC for the Guild Hall
- Can only change professions unlocked by the character
2. Give characters ability to change secondary profession on the "Hero window" [H]
- Can only change while in towns or outposts
- Must have unlocked all the professions first
- Must complete a quest to acquire this ability
- Inherent ability for PvP-only characters
Poll: (you like these ideas and would like to see ANET implement them)
1. Add 2nd Profession Changer in Guild Hall. Yes / No
Yes (109)

A profession changer in the Guild Hall would be one of the most appreciated additions to the game that could possibly be done. People re-roll characters for GVG or Alliance Battles all the time. This would certainly cut down on travel required, wait time for other teammates, etc. Some restrictions would need to be put into place (none for PVP chars, whatever secondaries you have "unlocked" per PVM char) but the effort would be well worth it IMO.
I understand that a profession changer from the get-go might seem a bit strange (as far as storyline progression goes) for someone new to PVM and unfamiliar with PVP who instantly joins a guild with unlocked NPCs in the GH, but then again the same can be said for the Alliance Battles NPC.

I agree 100% with Sciros. If asking for a prof changer in Hero Window is too much, then you could have a prof changer in the GH, and if that's too much, he should be hire-able.

Couldn't care less about 1 in the guild hall, why would it matter if you had 1 in your Hero menu
/signed for Hero Menu changer
Getting so sick of having to add the henchman again and again when i need to change professions to cap elites since Senjis Corner has so few from Kurzick/Luxon side or need to find a Materials/Rune Trader...

Put me down also for the [H] menu changer. It would make all our lives much easier. I mean we can do it in the desert anyway, so just let us do it anywhere! C'mon Anet

if its gonna be any easier, might as well have skill tabs for each prof in hero panel
then by inserting secondary skills into your bar your prof auto changes... also removes any skills of previous sec prof from your bar.
